
Executive Vice President and Global Head of Equities and Multi-Asset Strategies
Scott McIntosh is Executive Vice President and Global Head of Equities and Multi-Asset Strategies. He has overall accountability for Public Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Absolute Return Strategies. Scott’s responsibilities also include Overlay Management, overseeing portfolio completion, dynamic FX and tail-risk hedging, and tactical asset allocation. Scott sits on OMERS Senior Leadership Committee, the executive group responsible for advancing enterprise-wide strategy, priorities and decision-making.
Scott joined OMERS in October 2013. Before that, he was Head of Canadian Asset Allocation at Manulife Asset Management, and a Portfolio Manager on both Canadian and U.S. diversified portfolios totaling $90 billion. He has also worked in asset allocation and portfolio strategy roles at large institutional investment firms in Australia.
Scott is a member of the research committee for the International Centre for Pension Management (ICPM), a global research-based network of pension organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and a Master of Commerce (Applied Finance) from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has also completed Leadership Decision Making through the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as High-Performance Leadership (HPL) and Advanced HPL courses through the IMD in Switzerland.
