OMERS is one of Canada’s largest pension plans, providing a defined benefit plan for approximately 500,000 active, deferred and retired employees from nearly 1,000 municipalities, school boards, libraries, police and fire departments, and other local agencies in communities across Ontario.

OMERS co-op & student program

OMERS offers a variety of co-op and student placements during the Fall, Winter and Summer terms. Through these placements, OMERS provides post-secondary students the opportunity to work on meaningful projects to help maximize real experience, foster greater confidence, and build personal brands.

OMERS Investment Analyst Rotation Program

The OMERS Investment Analyst Rotation program provides new graduates with the training, mentorship and guidance needed to become the leaders of tomorrow. This two-year program gives you the opportunity to complete three eight-month placements with the following investment groups: 

Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible for a permanent role within the organization.

What will you gain from this program?

  • The chance to collaborate with colleagues and leaders with diverse experiences and expertise within a supportive environment

  • Alongside the deal teams, participate in active deal pursuits specific to each investment unit and management of existing portfolio companies

  • The opportunity to develop and grow your investment expertise while being a part of an engaged team of investors committed to meeting the pension promise

Eligibility: Students in their final year of study of Bachelor and Post-Graduate programs

Applications accepted: early July, with each cohort starting in August of their graduating year.
