Review of OMERS Governance

In 2024, Ontario’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing initiated a review of OMERS governance. This is the first review since 2012. Robert Poirier, the Special Advisor appointed to conducted the review, released his report on November 5, 2025. Days later, the Ontario government introduced legislationOpens new window that, if passed, would amend the OMERS Act, 2006.
