The OMERS Sponsors Corporation’s (SC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Laurie Hutchinson as the new OMERS SC Chief Executive Officer, effective April 18, 2022. Her appointment follows the conclusion of a formal search initiated last year after Michael Rolland announced his retirement.

She will be a terrific addition to the SC executive team,” said Frank Ramagnano, SC Board Chair.

As SC CEO, Ms. Hutchinson will be responsible for providing executive leadership and direction to the employees of the Sponsors Corporation and to help the SC Board efficiently and effectively deliver on its key responsibilities which focus on making appointments to both the AC and SC Boards, determining OMERS plan benefit levels and setting contribution rates.

“I appreciate the confidence the SC Board has placed in me. I am committed to delivering results in the best interest of OMERS members, employers and sponsors, and to working with the SC team and my OMERS Administration Corporation colleagues to ensure the OMERS plan remains sustainable, affordable and meaningful for decades to come,” Ms. Hutchinson said.
