Canada Post Update - Retired members who receive their pension cheque by mail
If you are a retired member who currently receives your OMERS pension cheque by mail, you may be impacted by the Canada Post rotating strikes. Your monthly payment will not be affected if you receive your pension payment by direct deposit. The rotating strikes are expected to last 24 hours in designated cities. During this time, mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up in those areas.
If your city is impacted by the rotating strike and you would like to make special arrangements to pick up your November pension cheque, please contact OMERS Client Services at 1-800-387-0813 by Thursday, October 25, 2018 so we can hold your cheque. Cheques will be mailed to affected cities when the strike is lifted.
Please consider switching to direct deposit to ensure you receive your OMERS pension in a timely manner. If you are located in the Greater Toronto Area, you may also pick up your pension cheque in person.
