Our people come to work every day to deliver our pension promise to you. We wanted to shine a light on two colleagues and the CEO of one of our US investments.
A diversity award
The CEO of one of our newest investments has been recognized for a diversity award. Congratulations to ExecOnline, Inc. CEO Stephen Bailey for being named a recipient of ASU+GSV Summit's 2021 Innovators of Color Award! Presented by Russell Reynolds Associates, the Innovators of Color award celebrates leading global innovators of color who are making an impact in digital learning and skills.
Stephen said on accepting the award, “We founded this company with the belief that we can change the world by connecting all leaders to their future potential, and this honor reinforces the importance of our mission.” You can read more about the award here , and learn more about ExecOnline, one of our investments since earlier this year, here .
A national rowing champion
The Olympics are here! As we are cheering for the athletes in Tokyo, we wanted to give a shout out to one of our Toronto based colleagues – Peter McClelland , an Associate Director of our Private Equity team – who was a member of the Canadian National Rowing team from 2006 to 2012. Peter is a Commonwealth champion, and also has three medals from the World Championships and the Pan American Games. He was a spare for the 2012 Olympic Games in London and raced and trained with several members of the Canadian team that have been competing in Tokyo. His former pair partner, Kai Langerfeld, just finished a very close 4th place in the men’s pair in Japan! Peter and Kai captured a bronze medal together at the 2012 World Championships in Bulgaria, which was Peter’s last race before retiring from sport. Congratulations, Peter, for your successes, and good luck Team Canada in Tokyo!
