Dave McCann was appointed to the OMERS AC Board effective January 1, 2026 on the nomination of the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA). He serves as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee, Investment Committee and the ad hoc Asset-Liability Study Committee.

Mr. McCann spent many years with The Carlyle Group (CG) a Washington, DC based US$474B AUM publicly traded and SEC regulated Alternative Investment Manager with 29 offices and 2,300 professionals globally. He was a member of the Executive and Operating Committees of the firm as the Global Head of Investor Relations and Partner. Reporting to the CEO and Firm Founders, he and his global team of 100 professionals were responsible for the engagement with Carlyle’s Institutional, Corporate and Family Office investors across the entire suite of Carlyle’s Alternative Investment products.

Mr. McCann has also been the Head of Canadian Product Distribution and Partner for both Carlyle as well as Credit Suisse Asset Management. He has been a direct equity investor at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in Public Markets as VP & Head of Relationship Investments and in Private Markets at TD Capital and as a Partner at its successor firm, Birch Hill Equity Partners. Mr. McCann has a broad capital markets and risk management experience set as the former President of TD Bank (USA) Inc. obtaining debt and equity underwriting powers for TD Securities with the US Federal Reserve, as well as credit assessment and adjudication experience in various roles at TD Bank both in the US and Canada. He has served on many private and public company boards and has extensive governance and sustainability experience.

Mr. McCann was a Co-Chair of the $1B Western University “Be Extraordinary” fundraising campaign.

He holds a BA (Honours) and MA in Geography from Western University, and MBA (Ivey) from Western.
