Executive Vice President, Corporate & Capital Markets Finance

Brandon Weening is Executive Vice President, Corporate and Capital Markets Finance at OMERS. He is responsible for a team of more than 175 people, leading all of OMERS Corporate Finance functions, the back- and middle-office functions for OMERS $70 billion Capital Markets investing business, and a major transformation initiative.

Brandon has been with OMERS for over a decade. He helped establish OMERS international financing program in 2019, including the plan’s investor relations program and its AAA rating from a major credit rating agency. He is one of OMERS management leads for the Plan’s Audit & Risk Committee, the former executive sponsor of the OMERS DiversAbilities employee resource group and a member of multiple leadership committees.

Brandon holds a BComm (Hons) from Queen's University; he is also a CPA® and CA.
