The sun is out, the annual reconciliation has come to an end and it's time to enjoy summer!
In this issue, you will find information on scattered day leave period reporting, our improved myOMERS platform, and upcoming employer events.
To make administration easier, if you are reporting a leave period for a member who is off multiple times, you might be able to report this as one leave period – even if they are not consecutive days.
You can combine up to 20 scattered days taken off each calendar year and report them as one leave. Please note, this option is only available if you are reporting periods of the same leave type. For example, you cannot report an Emergency Leave and an Authorized Leave as one scattered day period.
Scattered days can be reported using both the paper and e-Form versions of the Leave Period Reporting/Election – Part A: employer reporting – Form 165. For detailed information, please see section 11.8 of the Employer Administration Manual.

If you receive any questions, please know that all previous functionality still exists but we have improved compatibility with modern browsers, enhanced the user interface, and streamlined the registration process. A new feature is that members can now easily update their beneficiary information online.
