2016 Risk Adjustments for Compensation Plans

The risk adjustment is a compensation design feature that has been incorporated into compensation plans to enhance plan governance by incenting and rewarding teams for achieving the desired risk culture of the organization.

Management responded to questions from Human Resources Committee members about various risk topics. The Chief Risk Officer noted that, from a behaviour perspective, the organization behaved as desired and the risk-taking was appropriate.

Following discussion, the HRC approved the 2016 risk adjustments for Capital Markets, Real Estate, Private Markets, Infrastructure, and Corporate.
