Before his appointment, in March 2007, he held the position of Senior Vice President at Borealis, where he developed the unique financing structures for the new William Osler Health Centre in Brampton and the redevelopment of the Royal Ottawa Hospital project. He also directed Borealis' investment in Extendicare (Canada) and led the purchase of MDS Diagnostics by Borealis.
Prior to joining Borealis, Mr. Rolland was a Director at a private financial advisory firm where he was responsible for leading the corporate and structured financing practice. He also spent six years as a Director and senior member of a large investment banking group with one of Canada's largest non-banking lenders, developing creative financing structures in the public sector.
A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Rolland also holds an Honours Business Administration Degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
