In Memoriam – Darcie Beggs OMERS AC Board Member

OMERS wishes to express its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Darcie Beggs, a two-term member of the OMERS AC Board of Directors, who passed away earlier this month. A dear friend and colleague to many, she will be sincerely missed.

Darcie was a proud CUPE nominee and served as an OMERS Board Member from 2014 to 2016 and again from 2017 to the end of 2021. She was a valued voice and active member of the Audit & Actuarial Committee, Human Resources Committee, and Appeals Committee. Thanks to her deep knowledge of the pension sector and the passion she had for her work, Darcie provided important input and oversight of the Plan on behalf of all OMERS members.

Darcie’s personal championing of inclusion and diversity and her strong commitment to, and promotion of, defined benefit pensions, will be long remembered.
