Leslie Thompson was appointed to the OMERS AC Board in 2009 as the City of Toronto employer representative. Leslie is Chair of the Governance Committee and is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Ms. Thompson is President of LESRISK Debt and Risk Management Inc. She is an enterprise risk management consultant with experience as a senior executive with both financial institutions and government in Canada and abroad. Formerly, she was Vice President of Union Bank of Switzerland and The Chase Manhattan Bank. She also led the start-up of the Province of Ontario's treasury operations (now Ontario Financing Authority). Ms. Thompson also serves as corporate director on several boards in addition to OMERS AC including: the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario; Home Capital Group Inc.; Trustee, City of Toronto Sinking Fund Committee; and Chair, Investment Advisory Committee, City of Toronto. Her credentials include a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Fine Arts, the Institute of Corporate Directors' Designation, the Certified Management Consultant designation and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
