Yearly mailings

Tax slips

If you receive an OMERS pension (retirement, survivor or disability pension), you will receive a tax receipt for your OMERS pension by the end of February each year. 

The tax slip is your official proof of income for tax purposes.

This form shows the total amount of pension paid to you during the previous calendar year and the total tax deducted, if applicable. 

Residence in Canada – T4A Form

If you reside in Canada, we will mail a T4A to your home address.

Residence outside Canada – NR4 Form

If you reside outside Canada, we will send an NR4 to your home address.

Retirement Compensation Arrangement (RCA)

If part of your pension is paid from the RCA, you will receive two T4A or NR4 tax slips: one for the portion paid from the OMERS Registered Pension Plan and one for the RCA portion.

Annual Statement of Pension

By the end of December, all members and survivors who are receiving a retirement, disability or survivor pension, are sent a personalized Annual statement of pension.

The annual statement details the January pension increase. It also gives an account of Your OMERS pension record, including tax information.

Please check the personal information on your annual statement and notify OMERS Client Services if it needs updating.
