2005 statistics – at December 31, 2005

We appreciate the response we received from the OMERS employers to our request for member affiliation data – by December 21, 2005 employers had provided member affiliation data for 225,549 active members. This represents data for 100% of our active membership.  

The following graph shows the affiliation breakdown of our active membership at December 21, 2005.  In the graph, we group unions/associations with less than 1,000 OMERS members in “Other.” The breakdown of the “Other” category is shown in the table that follows the graph. The table also includes the numbers of OMERS members and percentages for all affiliations reported by the employers, and an explanation of the affiliation abbreviations used in the graph.
